Auditory Processing Disorders

The difference between auditory processing disorder and hearing loss is that hearing loss there is a problem at the peripheral level (outer, inner ear and auditory nerves). Whereas auditory processing disorder occurs at a higher level, from the brain stem up to the brain’s processing of sounds.
