11. Adult Speech Fluency Program (Stuttering / Stammering)

Why this program, Who is it for:

This program will help you if you stutter and:

  1. You feel upset, embarrassed or frustrated that you can't communicate with people in a friendly manner.
  2. You have speech blocks and you feel like you can't speak up and you don't have a choice.
  3. You are feeling very self-conscious and it makes other people very awkward when you speak.
  4. You are feel there are no speech practices you could do, or any solutions to fall back on you just feel lost.

Before coming to LeoMagan, I felt very frustrated as I wasn’t able to speak properly. I would avoid certain words because I know I will stutter. People would criticise my speech. People around me attribute me not being able to get various achievements or benefits because of my stuttering. They say I cannot get advancement because of my speech.

I’m glad I found you. For those who are considering speech therapy, I would encourage them to give LeoMagan a try as speech therapy here is affordable and effective. I have learnt techniques here I have never seen online.

I can now speak more fluently and I am stuttering less. People actually noticed that my speech improved. Now I can say more words that I used to avoid. Before this, I would avoid certain words because I know I will stutter, but now I can say it more often. When I know I’m about to stutter, I will just apply some of the techniques I learnt. It has made me more confident in my own speech.

Hasif (Adult), University student, Singapore

When I stutter or block I feel like I am sucked into a black hole and I can’t run away. I can’t speak up. I don’t have a choice.

I feel very self-conscious. I think it makes other people feel very awkward too. I felt that there was no way out, no speech practice I could do, or any solutions to fall back on.

I just felt lost. The worst thing is that it was a vicious cycle, the more I feel stressed, the worse my stuttering is, it goes into a ‘loop’.

Within the first few speech therapy sessions, I learnt several things, for example, how to co-ordinate my breathing with my speech.

One of the best things was just knowing that there was something I could do. It was like having a car which was spoilt, and I knew exactly which part I have to fix.

I started being able to talk to my friend and my supervisor fluently without stuttering at all for some bouts of times. It’s like the blind having bouts where they can see...

12. Adult Speech Program (Articulation, Lisp, Rhotacism, Accent Improvement etc)

Speech Therapy Adult Articulation Accent Improvement

Why this program, Who is it for:

Our adult speech therapy programs are customised to your specific difficulties and needs and can help you if:

  1. You cannot say specific sounds such as ‘s’, ‘r’, ‘th’ etc clearly.
  2. Your sounds are not clear, and you sound as if you have braces on even though you don’t.
  3. You think you have a lisp and you can't say or pronounce 's' clearly in your speech.
  4. You think you have rhotacism and you can't say or pronounce 'r' clearly in your speech.
  5. You feel frustrated and embarrassed to talk since it is hard to pronounce the 's' in words.
  6. You feel your lisp is more obvious when you get excited and did not know how to correct your lisp at all so you tend to just keep quiet up, or rush through talking.
  7. You find yourself mumbling, or you are frequently told you are mumbling.
  8. You find that others don’t understand words that you say, mis-understand you, or frequently ask for repetitions especially when you are on the phone.
  9. You frequently trip over long words and get stressed about avoiding these words or saying them fluently.
  10. You want to stop speaking ‘Singlish’, or you just want to speak more fluently with a better accent in order to be more confident.
  11. You feel that how you speak is getting in the way of your interaction with others.

I had a very obvious lisp that made me very self conscious about my pronunciation. I felt an improvement within 3 months, especially when people started to notice that my pronunciation has improved.

I know that my speech is clearer because previously people would have difficulty understanding me when I introduce myself. Now they can hear the 's' sound in my name clearly and I don't have to repeat myself.

Mr Loong (Adult), Lawyer, Singapore

I felt very frustrated when it came to my pronunciation of certain words due to my lisp...

I saw improvement within 2 to 3 weeks...

An important benefit was being able to articulate clearly during interviews and presentations whereby it is necessary to speak to a group.
