Pyramid
It makes a point
High in the Sky
Layers of cut stone
Piled thousands of feet high.
Filled with treasures
Fit for a King
His final resting place
Costing many many lives.
One of seven wonders
For the world to see
Aging, but imposing,
With grandeur and strife.

See the whorls of confusion
Unravel the mysteries within
Feel the strength of character
Surprises unfold and bewilder.
Look beyond the pretty exterior
Discover the wealth of colour
Praise and nurture for nutrients
Are far better than deterrents.
Conventional techniques are divisive
Each child learns in his special way
Observe and wait for an opening
Opportunists will find it amazing.
Think of the child as unable
Disability will persist
Alter your pre-conception
And progress is beyond your comprehension.
Once his door is even a little open
The possibilities are infinite
Persevere and you will feel enriched
Beyond your wildest expectations.
