A. We focus on educational products that are high on educational value and fun for the child (to motivate independent learning). We consult educational professionals first to find out what they would like to have as the best educational toys for teaching. 6. I would like to know if your Keep Learning Jigsaw Puzzle can be of any use for a two-year-old kid. I like the concept very much but I don't know if it could help my child. We would like him to learn English from a very young age.
A. It is our pleasure to share with you our product, the linguistic and learning considerations behind the product concept and our results using it with children.
Here are some of the factors for your consideration:
One essential criterion is whether the child can relate to pictures, understands what pictures mean, talks about pictures, and enjoys the process.
Because Keep Learning Puzzle is a jigsaw puzzle, the child would need some fine motor skills in order to enjoy the hands-on process of learning. Our jigsaw puzzle is of highest quality Western Europe material which is thicker, sturdier and therefore easier to manipulate. It is comparable to flat wooden puzzles that come without a grip knob.
We have had experience with children of 3 years or younger who fulfil the above two criteria and are able to play and learn English words and sentences using our Keep Learning Puzzle.
Some other relevant considerations include overall language skills and vocabulary.
Our sentences and pictures cover a variety of themes such as circus, family, school, sports etc. The more children know about such experiences (through real life, books, the media etc), the more they will understand the sentences (and the jokes). We have designed the detailed illustrations to aid the child in this.
Two main considerations our product was 'born' are:
1. to fill the gap in the market for an intelligent product to bridge the gap from words to sentences.
2. to help the learner develop an important foundation in sentence structure for language learning.
Our product is therefore designed to be highly adaptable to individual ability, and to 'grow with the child'. You may find yourself using just some pieces of the puzzle with your child at the beginning, and then using more and more pieces, with more and more variety of learning activities and games as he grows.
